Christopher T. Marquet is a Managing Director and head of research for the American Institute of Certified Board Advisors. He is also the President of the Institute’s Northeastern Region and a member of the Board of Advisors.
Chris is a highly experienced business executive with 37 years of work advising senior level corporate executives, board members and their advisors on issues of fraud, corporate malfeasance, transaction due diligence and contests for corporate control. He has worked with a wide range of corporations, from large multi-nationals to small, high-tech start-ups, as well as numerous professional and financial service firms. Chris has been a member of the board of directors of two privately-held companies.
Chris is currently a Senior Partner of Veritas Assurance Partners, an international investigative and risk consultancy and since early 2006, CEO of Marquet International, Inc., a professional service firm providing expert business intelligence and litigation support consulting.
Prior to founding Marquet International, Chris was a founding member and a senior leader of Citigate Global Intelligence where he led the international marketing and sales functions as well as the New England Consulting Region. As an Executive Managing Director, Chris was a key member of the governing Executive Committee.
Before Citigate Global Intelligence, Chris spent nearly 19 years with Kroll Associates, a global risk management firm, ultimately as a Senior Managing Director. Chris has led numerous sensitive fact-finding efforts on behalf of senior corporate executives, boards of directors and their advisors. These matters have been diverse and include transactional due diligence, general litigation support, investigations into intellectual property theft, environmental disputes, fraud, workplace violence, and employee misconduct, hostile takeovers and proxy battles, competitive intelligence, corporate security, executive protection, crisis management and insurance disputes.
In addition to his client advisory work, Chris also played key roles as the firm’s Worldwide Director of Client Development & Marketing, and a trusted advisor to the founder, Jules Kroll as well as acting as the President & Chief Restructuring Officer of the firm’s Executive Travel Risk Services subsidiary.

Chris is a Certified Board Advisor and received an A.B. degree from Dartmouth College in 1983, with a triple major in Physics, Economics, and Philosophy.
